SU Regional Training!

Yesterday I spent a fab day with lots of demos at regional training in Leeds. Part of the fun is swapping card fronts or other items and I now have lots of lovely samples for inspiration - thank you ladies!

These are the swaps that I made - the same design but in five colour ways. The image and wording is from the fantastic Cheers to You stamp set, which is one of my favourites. It is difficult to tell from the photograph but the little strawberry has been covered with Crystal Effects to make it shiny.

Colours: Old Olive/Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie/Marina Mist, Pacific Point/Pretty in Pink, Regal Rose/Pink Pirouette, Rich Razzleberry/Certainly Celery

Sale-a-Bration is Almost Over...

Hello. I'm afraid I have lost some of my crafting mojo recently, but here is a final card to show off the fab owl from the Punch Bunch set.

Cardstock: Whisper White, Pacific Point, More Mustard
Patterned Paper: Pacific Point
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Pacific Point, More Mustard
Stamps: Punch Bunch, So Happy for You
Ribbon and button now retired

I have been busy this weekend making my swaps for Regional Training next weekend. Can't wait! x

Birthday Owl

For a change I wanted to try and keep my design simple - so here is a birthday card using the owl from the Punch Bunch set. It is difficult to see but his face and wings have been decoupaged so that his wings stand raised from the card. I have painted his eyes with Frost White shimmer paint, and the flower head is a button. What do you think? x

Card: Whisper White, Bravo Burgandy
Ink (Markers): Chocolate Chip, Old Olive, Bashful Blue, More Mustard
Stamps: Punch Bunch, So Happy for You

I Love Punch Bunch!

Here is a card made with the fab Punch Bunch set - get yours while Sale-a-bration is still on!

The central flower image is raised up, it is a little hard to tell from the photograph.

I picked another colour combo from the Colour Coach - Real Red, Tempting Turquoise and Tangerine Tango. I wasn't sure about it but I really like how they work together. Like Kate (Kate's Krafts) I have done some paper weaving for the background - great minds think alike ;)

Mine is done using the Turquoise patterned paper from the brights stack.

Look out for some Punch Bunch owl cards coming soon... x

Happy Birthday Gemma!

Today is my SU sister Gemma's birthday. This is the card I sent to her - I'm hoping the postman has delivered it on time!

I used the Colour Coach to try a new combo - Real Red, Crumb Cake and Bashful Blue. The little butterfly is from the Sweet Summer set, and the red one has been decoupaged with patterned paper to make it stand out from the crowd.

Sweet Summer Birthday

Here is a card focusing on one of the blossoms in the Sweet Summer set. The flower heads are shaded in Elegant Eggplant and Perfect Plum (although it is a bit hard to tell from the photograph). The sentiment is from another Sale-a-Bration set, So Happy For You. Lots of rhinestones sparkle it up, and I have even used them to dot the "i"s in the sentiment.

Ribbon: Elegant Eggplant (now retired)

The Best Laid Plans and All That...

Hello,

Firstly thank you ladies for your lovely comments on my first post - much appreciated.

This weekend I had planned to make and photograph some new cards. Unfortunately I wasn't very well and it didn't happen. However, I am determined to post something regularly and so watch this space in the next couple of days!
